  I would’ve given them five stars however I don’t like banks in general so for will have to do I find the bank fairly courteous good people helpful the hours could be better but what bank has good hours and they’ve helped me out before with Removing fees and stuff so they’re all right

  Downside to this bank is the ATM is inside the building. They should have a drive up one like most other banks. And it didn't have a ramp for handicap person. I saw a mn trying to do the stairs and struggled. I did help him in but they need a different entrance and a ATM outside by the drivethru

  Thank you for your comments; we value our customers’ feedback. We do have a handicap access ramp from the parking area that leads directly to the front entrance and ATM vestibule, as well as stair access to both. Unfortunately, due to recent snowfall, we noticed that it is difficult to see the handicap access sign that is mounted to the railing at the beginning of the ramp. We will clear the snow that is partially obscuring the sign immediately. Thank you for the assistance that you also provided to the gentleman!

  Worst bank ever. We’ve used Northway for many years because we wanted to support local business but enough is enough. Here is why you may want to stay away. Over the years we had a ton of issues using our card. Northway repeatedly prevented us from using the card in other states for no good reason, causing us to have to get a new card, or to have to jump hoops through their terrible customer service system (more on that below) to unlock the card. Once, we tried to cash a check at the Gorham NH office. The representative asked us if we want to put a hold on it. We said no. They did it anyway, causing us headaches when we needed to use the money. They are also very slow with checks in general. Checks at Northway take 5 days to clear, whereas other banks with more modern systems can do it much faster. Northway’s online banking system is also more outdated compared to those of other banks. For a small local business these issues may have been OK if Northway had good customer service but that was the final drop in the bucket for us. In dealing with these and other issues we have repeatedly encountered awful customer service. The representatives are often short-tempered and impertinent (especially at the Gorham office, we had a better experience in North Conway). The Northway representatives did everything to make us feel like we were wasting their time. If employees only took a 1-hour emotional intelligence course, customer service would already improve 200%.
