      I've never sold a house and held the mortgage before altho I have re-habbed and sold several. Am a senior so was not looking forward to all the paperwork that goes with being the Lien Holder plus the Gov. ( bless them) keeps changing the details. Cannot tell you how much relief I felt when the people I kept calling at Note Servicing would listen hard to what I was asking and then say calmly "oh we do all that for you, that's part of our service". And at a reasonable price, while I hate to part with any profit I might make, hiring a professional that knows what to do can actually make you money either in savings or giving you time to do more at what you are best at. And filling Government forms isn't one of them for me! Strongly recommend Note Servicing Center as they put you at ease and work hard at taking care of you.

      Borrower review: If you're looking to pay off expect this company to charge you a boat load in fees and/or make you wait 30+ days for a payoff. EDIT: I'm sure it's against some law to refuse a payoff because you want to charge $500+ in fees.

      We're sorry you feel that way. Virtually all mortgage servicers charge a fee when a payoff is requested (and our fees are typically lower than others in the industry). As far as timing, our contract requires the lender to approve the payoff before it is sent out, so we unfortunately have no control over how long it takes them to respond.

      Horrible company. Poor customer service and billing practices. Avoid like the plague.

If payments are not received within the grace period, we must charge a late fee.
