  Wish I could give a zero. Matt is the worst person we have ever dealt with. Does not return calls. Does not keep you informed. Had our loan for 7 months and accomplished nothing. Another lender had it 2 weeks and we closed and got a better rate. Go elsewhere. Hamilton Mortgage is bad news!!!!!!

  Kim, After looking at your other reviews it appears you wish to give a lot of good hard working people and businesses zero's. I counted 92 emails to you and 20 phone calls between September and January. I believe I communicated with you ma'am. Hamilton, my staff, and I worked extremely hard for you as we do all our customers. We do not deserve the review you gave. It is mean-spirited and inaccurate. I assume that is why you review people the way you do, which is to deliberately negatively impact them and punish them even if it’s undeserved. Since you have decided to make such a public claim, I will also make my defense public. As you are very aware but chose to leave out of your review, although we started paperwork in August, I told you we could not do anything to move forward until the abandoned mobile home that you allowed goats and chickens to live in was removed from the land. VA, will not allow for two dwellings on one property and you also needed your new mobile home in that exact spot. It did not get donated or given away until the end of September. We started working in October. It was then that the attorney found an old gas/oil/fuel lease recorded during title search which you knew nothing about. We had to secure that lease for you because you couldn't find anything, which took a month. Also the appraisal came back showing that you did not have any proper driveway ingress/egress which took you weeks to correct. In addition your mobile home dealer fought with us two weeks about the foundation set up, to which I ended up being correct. In December I asked you to be kinder to my staff in the way that you spoke to them but that didn't get any better. It was in January that I refused to continue to allow my staff to be abused and I chose to end your loan. I'm sorry that it worked out as it did but it was not 7 months and the issues had nothing to do with my staff or I. Mobile home 'on the lot' financing which took you only 2 weeks is not a traditional mortgage and is not the same thing at all. Congratulations on your home. I wish you the very best. -Matt
