  BAIT AND SWITCH! Applied and was pre-qualified for 16.99% 12k unsecured loan. Selected the loan on their website and submitted documents. Received call next day stating that after credit report review my rate jumped to 30%. I have an average score of 615-630 and 2 derogatory accounts from 5 years ago other than that clean credit report with highest debt being a student loan in excellent standing and have very few inquiries on my credit reports as well as low balances and utilization. I feel like this is classic bait and switch, I should have went to a credit union...Do not get loans from here, upstart, or lending tree it's all a scam; predatory lending making you think you'll get the loan at a rate you can afford and then switching it to a rate you can not afford. With rates at 30% you diminish the borrower's abilities to repay the loan and it becomes strictly beneficial to the lender. Also be mindful of mile-long fine print during pre-qualification usually hiding at bottom of page or hidden in various links.

  My family have dealt with One Main in another locality and have had a wonderful experience. I do not know what it is about Winchester VA and minorities. A family member applied online and had been speaking with Rhonda, who was very nice via phone. All requested documentation was provided within mins after request. The family member came in as the phone kept going to voice mail and the text had stated to call. When the family member arrived, it took a moment and finally Jessica asked what was needed yet she just came across Cold. It just appears that the branch is giving a run around. Disappointed
