  I have been a client to Family Services now Origin SC and never had a bad experience with the staff. They have been very helpful to me over the years and I am very grateful to have them in my life and helping me along the way.

  Wow I don't know where to start. My name is Mark Brady I was introduced to Origin SC with the help of Waccamaw mental health Georgetown South Carolina staff . At that time Origin SC was called Family Services. I had a bad gambling problem could not and would not pay bills but would then turn around and beg,and borrow money paying back with interest for bills. So much has been accomplished because of my affiliation with Family services now known as Orgin SC of South Carolina My first designated payee I was too much for her and I really apologize she was really good but I did not give her any room and she needed a little bit more room taking care of my situations My second designated payee Susan Gale OMG professional, patient ,concerned, excellent mathematician, stern when she had to be. Had no problem putting her foot down with me if she had to. I considered Susan Gale a older Sister or Aunt. Susan Gale always had my best interest at heart and I think her .Thanks again Ms.Gale,hoping you're enjoying your retirement., and thank you for passing on to Ms. Bethany Smith so many of your traits. And also the traits of the first Susan designated payee I had when it was Family Services thank you Miss Bethany Smith for being so patient ,considerate, professional, empathetic, and kind and helping me with my finances while sometimes being the ear I needed so many times Thank you Origin of South Carolina /Family Services thank you ,thank you,thank you, for all you do for me/us.Yours truly,Sir Knight Mark Brady.

  I have been working at Origin for 8 years, and I am extremely proud to work with such a diverse group of people with varied skills that have come together for a common goal – helping our community. From representing disabled people by managing their finances to teaching people to better manage their own and helping ensure our most vulnerable neighbors are safe and housed. I cannot think of a better way to serve our community.
