  First of all Jason Parker is the best. I know that probably sounds like a broad statement but read my back story and you will understand why I feel this way. My husband and I moved to the Sacramento area shortly after I separated from the Air Force. My last duty station was Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina and after doing research on jobs for both my husband and I (and our mutual love of hiking, skiing and the beach), we decided that moving to SacTown was our best option. The plan was to rent for a few months and then once we knew exactly where we wanted to live buy a house, and so, about two months before making the drive from ocean to ocean I started calling property management companies. Each one told me to wait until I got to Sac and then apply for a place to rent. Well we got here the first week of August and then was scoffed at, laughed at and well frankly treated like crap by one property management company after another because we didn't send in applications months ago. Seriously? Frustrated to say the least, we booked an AirBnB long term and continued to pay $60-75 for each application we put in just to be told someone else came before us and took the house we wanted to rent. Luckily our amazing AirBnB host pointed us in the direction of an equally amazing realtor Lisa Ochs (Lyon) and in turn asked us to talk to Jason about getting preapproved for a mortgage. Not going to lie, this was not the road I wanted to go down right then. But we made an appointment with Jason. First impressions were great. I was scared half to death about committing to a mortgage but not only did Jason explain how our money was just being wasted if we rented but he also worked with us on how much we thought we could afford each month for a payment and worked backwards from there to get a total preapproved amount. He spent probably a good hour or two explaining everything, how it works , each piece of paper we were signing and then went into over drive to get everything he needed for a VA loan. See I still hadn't received my DD214, and he managed to make it all work out. Jason seriously was amazing and took it all slow, mostly for my benefit too because my husband had bought a house before but I had not. By the end of the appointment I knew exactly what was going on, how it was going to happen and smiling from ear to ear thinking about a mortgage! I'm serious. I was excited about a mortgage, but only because he made it all so simple and easy to understand. From there after we determined a house we wanted to buy Jason worked all hours to get us through the contract and into the house. We were in constant contact and he always picked up the phone or replied to emails no matter the time of day. He seriously works hard for you and with us having been homeless for about two months at that point, him working hard for us was greatly appreciated. Less than a month and my husband and I had keys to our house and we could still not be happier! So yes, Jason Parker is the best! And he works hard for his clients and makes them feel like they are special. I would recommend no one else and if I ever find myself in the position to buy again I will go to no one else. Thank you Jason for everything you did for us!
