We have been meaning to review Pathway Mortgage for a while, but kept forgetting! But they so deserve 5 stars! We bought our first house in June of 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. We were living in California when my husband got accepted into medical school in Spartanburg, SC. We had around 6 weeks to find and finance a house once he accepted the invitation. Because we had a long relationship with Wells Fargo banking, we started our first loan application there. There were so many obstacles we had to go through and a lot of confusion, headaches, and frustration. And after all of that, we were denied because the underwriter was uncomfortable with the move between California and South Carolina. Wells Fargo also took a long time to let us know that they have denied our application, so it put us in a precarious situation where we almost lost the house we bid on. Thankfully, once we told our real estate agent our problem, she introduced us to Davis Love of Pathway Mortgage. Davis and his company were incredible! Davis took care of everything, explained everything, and answered all of our questions (no headaches, no confusion, no frustration for us!). He even worked it out so that we were still on track even after the Wells Fargo delay. He even found us an option with quite a low interest rate. I’m not sure we can ever thank him for what he did for us - this all happened while he was in SC and we were in CA. We really had to trust him because we couldn’t be here in person. Davis and Pathway took that responsibility seriously and went above and beyond for us. Because of them and our real estate agent Cindy Ward, we were able to purchase our first house. So thank you so very much Davis! You deserve all the stars!
