  Patriot is a stellar company run by good people! I like that they are locally owned and I am able to trust that I am getting fair and balanced advice and opinions from Ben McAffee and his entire team!

  We just finished working with Patriot and we were very disappointed with their performance. They constantly procrastinated our account. In spite of us providing documents within hours of them being requested, they would wait until the last possible moment to review them and then we were left scrambling to try to provide updated or clarified information. Our closing on our house had to be pushed back because we found out the morning we were supposed to close that they had dropped the ball and not provided the necessary documents to our title company. Despite the fact that they had told us and our realtor that everything was good to go. They had also put the wrong loan amount on our documents, which we pointed out to them immediately, it took over a week for this to be corrected and it wasn't corrected until the morning of the day we were closing. Their communication was abysmal. It was almost impossible to get an answer when we reached out. On multiple occasions our realtor had to hound them to get things done because they wouldn't respond to us. I have concerns about their organizational skills because we had to resend all of our personal documents multiple times and we were constantly left feeling like we were not a priority for them. All in all I would recommend using someone else.

  Patriot mortgage was fine to work with but before the first payment was due they sold the mortgage to Mr. Cooper which has been a total joke to deal with. If I could turn back time there is no way in hell I would go with Patriot. I should have gone with my gut and used Guild Mortgage like I had in the past. Lesson learned.

The experience that you are having with Mr. Cooper is unfortunate and frustrating for us to hear. We do not currently service our mortgages for an extended period, but understand how this reflects on us as the company that originated your mortgage. We will be discussing this in detail with Mr. Cooper to assure that this does not continue in the future.
