      People's United purports to be a community oriented bank. However, their corporate office closed the People's United branch in Waitsfield, VT, which served the people of at least 5 communities: Waitsfield, Warren, Fayston, Moretown and Duxbury. Now, we all have to travel into either Waterbury or Montpelier for our banking needs. Such great community service! It's sad that their is such a disconnect between a corporate mission statement and the reality of People's United Bank practices.

      If I could give this ban less than one star I would. Their electronic banking capabilities are a joke and way behind other banks. One employee even said when I was signing up my account that their on line banking was “a little behind”. A little!! Trying to extricate myself from this nightmare of a bank now until they get into the 21st century.
