After 12 years, I say goodbye to hidden charges, changes to TERMS OF SERVICE all written in unreadable caps, so as to be ignored. I’m going to my local veterans owned credit union. It was a good bank until the last change in services wanted 1.00 too many.

Today I thought I'd try out the new PNC bank located inside Giant Foods. I rarely need to visit a bank except for signatures and opening related accounts, thanks in large part to the internet. Unfortunately, I had a friend of mine repay a loan in cash. I didn't want to keep so much on me, so I decided to deposit it at the branch. BTW they have non-standard opening hours. Me: I'd like to deposit cash into my account. PNC: We don't take cash. Me: But you're a bank. PNC: We're not that kind of bank. Me: Do you know how absurd that is? PNC: It's the rules, I don't make them. Me: I'm not upset, just confused about a bank not taking cash. PNC: "Well we're modern" Me: I think I will find a bank that can deal in US currency. 2 Stars because I had the conversation with a human being.
