  The bank here, while clean and in a great location with mostly wonderful staff has always been my home bank. However, recently a new Market Manager has been at this location (and I have been told others too...seems like he travels to multiple locations?) and he has been so unacceptable to me that I will be closing my account and will not be returning. His name is Jeffrey Kontak and I hope you never have to do business with this man. I came into the bank, as usual, with my two (well-behaved) children who stayed by me the whole time as I deposited some checks. He decided to say--seemingly out of nowhere, upon the topic of the heat and drought lately--that if people would stop having children maybe this could be averted!! He went on to say how children should not be welcome in banks and that banks should be for adults only! I was aghast. I have always used this bank, my children are 12 and 14 and were on their phones standing beside me. Mr. Kontak sincerely did not seem to know how offensive he was and how unbelievable it is to tell someone else how to live their life.....all while in a public setting! I was amazed and still am! Mr. Kontak must have some issue with children or businesses with children that I hope he gets resolved very soon...this was unacceptable behavior! Especially for a bank that promotes well-being, peace, and a welcoming atmosphere. I will NEVER be returning here and I am a local law professor who has been using this bank for YEARS. I am appalled and believe Mr. Kontak should have a serious talk with his employers and I hope he changes his mind about these views. This bank I hope will take action. Immediately.
