  Today I went to put a check in my account as I have done many times. My father paid me with one of his checks by Endorsing it to me as he had done many times in the past and the bank had no problem doing this. Today they would not do a third party check. I was informed by the actual manager, who I don’t think gave me her name, that I couldn’t do this because it was against the law and had been since 9/11 due to people committing fraud. Which is just asinine. I told her I was going to look it up on google, because I knew she was lying. And I had my father call and sort it out because he also has an account with this bank. All said and done I get my money but I’m a bit ticked off about being lied to by the manager. Some banks do not allow third party checks but I knew from experience this bank does. I understand you want to prevent fraud, but don’t lie to your customers and account holders. Makes me seriously question if I should bank with you. The teller having the audacity to tell me they’ll allow it this one time… lady I’ve been doing this for a half year now….maybe this should be the last time I use your bank 😒 Edit: I told him I was going to take down the review but I think this is a better course of action now that I’ve thought about it. Bank owner called me and talked to me about my experiences. Cleared up some problems and inconsistencies. Their policy is to not to do third party checks normally. From what I gather, the fact I haven’t had this problem here or at the bank on Washington road to begin with is because people were allowing it (possibly because it wasn’t a large amount). I’ve had pretty good service beside this occasion… the 9/11 thing threw me for a loop though. I now know more about 9/11 because I really did look that up. Many small businesses were ruined because of information and paperwork lost, loved ones were lost, innocent lives were ruined both here in the US and over seas as a consequence of this horrible period in time…..but there are no actual laws about third party checks as far as I can find. I forgive the people for giving me false information… I hope they can forgive my long winded rant. Hope y’all have a good day, thank you.

  I will never use this bank again. My special needs son had an account and was supposed not have overdraft protection and they had it on there anyway so now he owes a bunch of fees. And the bank manager wouldn't even take one off to help him out.

  This place is very helpful when/if there is an issue with something (card for example) The staff try to help with whatever needs done.
