  I have been a customer at this store off and on for almost a decade, but never again. I purchased a chainsaw today for $160, and while the motor does fire, the chain slips if you run it for 30 seconds or more. After driving a half hour back home and taking the cover off, I began looking carefully at the inner links of the chain, and noticed that the catch teeth on the inside we’re mostly worn down. I drove straight back to the shop and explained everything to the employee, but was soon told that the most they would do is buy it back for half the price, as they offer no warranties on power tools. I explained to them that all I did was drive back to Halifax County where I live, and test it, before bringing it back. I had the thing in my possession for less than 2 hours, and the clerk turns to me and says “how do we know you didn’t break it?“ I’m not sure how I could wear the inner catch teeth of a chainsaw chain down to the nub in such a short period of time, but they would not compromise, saying the best they would do is buy it back for half price—basically telling me to eat $80 for because they don’t service check their tools when they buy them. I will never bring them another dime so long as I live. Way to take care of your long term customers. Now I’m out $160 because you don’t inspect the tools you buy before taking peole’s money for them. Been nice knowing you.
