  This review would be 5 stars as I am just kicking the tires a bit here. That said I am currently banking with another institution, and I dislike the impersonal feeling of being another transaction. RCU has opened a bit of a door for me by approving my first auto loan, which I am extremely greatful for. While I have not historically given much thought to my financial situation, it did not bode well. This approval has been 3 years of being dedicated to changing my financial outlook, having issues with creditors who failed to deliver, yet were set on making me pay, to the point I was forced to involve the office if the Attorney General, and even after that more than year long ordeal the damage to my credit was catastrophic. I nearly Gave up. I had several unreliable vehicles go one after the other, which prompted me to try for yet another loan, expecting the usual denial and several credit inquiry's to tank my score yet again. I had been told previously, that creditors like you, but just aren't willing to borrow to you. So I'm sitting here with a welcomed packet for the vehicle loan RCU approved for me and a reliable vehicle parked in the lot outside, and it has removed many barriers that would otherwise be impassable for someone who should have been more concerned with these things earlier in life. At 12 years old my daughter has repeatedly pushed me to just go buy a new car especially when my old clunkers couldn't make it for our parenting time. She was very excited about the car. Having this first installment loan is the next step towards getting out of North Minneapolis and homeownership closer to her two hours away. That I'd my ultimate goal, and I will be going to Royal with my buissness first going forward, because on paper I might not look like a sure bet, but I have plenty of motivation, to have a safer space to bring my daughter. And now a bit of momentum to make that happen. Thanks RCU. Oh yeah 4 stars because I noticed that there are no locations near me, and that will make it difficult to deposit funds when I leave my bank, and even more so when I move further west. Sorry such a long review, just very greatful.

  Royal credit union has provided a very positive experience for me thus far. Their speedy service and knowledgeable associates I’d recommend anyone to utilize their services. Everyone from the branch manager, specialists and tellers treat everyone with courtesy. Special thanks to Jill and Mitch at the Rice Street location, extremely pleased my cousin recommended them to me.
