Had to close my account when I left for grad school and opened an account with a big bank so my husband and I would both have quick access to our accounts. A horrible two years! Closed it and went back to Safe 1 as soon as I was back in Bakersfield. Low rates and friendly service!

Horrible customer service, just to wind up for an online account I had to wait over 30 mins when they said few mins. Why is it so complicated to sigh up for online banking and to make a payment over the phone they charge

I've been with them for several years and they decided to lock my account without notice and can't unlock it for 24 hours. I've been having issues with them since they transitioned to safe1. I explained to the manager why that's not acceptable and she said if I want to take my money out of my account I can, so I will be switching banks immediately. I don't recommend them to anyone they clearly don't care about their members. Also you can't keep track of your transactions in real time in the sense of if the bank isn't open you can't get your deposits and nothing posts to your account.
