  Great performance by Laura Beck and her team on title service and closing on a purchase. They are very knowledgeable about closings, banks and pricing. Easy to get ahold of....willing to answer questions. Great to work with to get things done. If you have questions on anything on a closing stop by they can help in person or by phone.. On target performance...first class service all the way.....

  Seashore title recently handled the closing for the sale of our property in Virginia Beach. Overall everything was going well until the on line notary vendor forgot to date the deed. One of the staff members at Seashore Title decided instead of asking the for the document to be resigned and notarized, since we had 4 business days to correct before closing, she added the date to the already completed notarized document and sent it on to the law firm handling the closing. She figured since she didn't hear anything, everything was ok. However, she should have known this is not ok to add information to a notarized document and the lawyer kicked the document back on the day of closing, after the buyer signed. It's now 4:30 pm and we are not in town creating a fire drill to get this signed as the same day the buyer signed. Instead of owning the mistake, Seashore chose to blame the other side for not kicking back the changed, post notarized document sooner. This is the responsibility of Seashore Title to follow legal requirements in signing the documents for closing. I spoke to the owner Laura Beck, who said, "I have been doing this for 35 years and things can get messy." Laura, was rude and unapologetic. Yes, I agree things things can get messy when Seashore Title didn't follow basic protocol in managing the signing of documents, which is what they were hired to do. I know people make mistakes but they should have tried to prevent them with solid polices and when they happen, own them, don't blame others and be rude. Would not recommend Seashore Title The Mathews

  Let me start by saying I sincerely apologize that you felt your experience with Seashore Title was less than expected. I tried to explain to you that with real estate closings there are many moving parts. To the normal process, we added in the additional obstacles of, out of town clients, the use of modern technology vs. many alternate options, computer glitches, etc., I also understand that moving, relocating, and retiring, are extremely stressful situations, all of which you and your husband were involved with. We most definitely do have protocol in place, and solid policies to manage the signing, and to handle matters when they arise. At the end of the day, your settlement did close as scheduled, without any delays, and your proceeds were funded to you quickly, via wire, as you requested, before a long holiday weekend. All of us at Seashore Title do wish you well, in your new home in sunny Florida !

  First time home buyer, was terrified to use a closing company I'd never heard of, but everyone there was so friendly and personable. They made the most stressful event in my life, one of the most easy and pleasantly quick experiences ever. Would highly recommend them for any of your needs.
