  I have been a entrepreneur for 30 years....I never seen Business Loan as good as Self Help Credit Union...I'm excited about the opportunity Self help Credit Union is trying to help my Non-profit Organization grow bigger and better.

  This specific bank location is truly not worth the stop. The Latin/Hispanic woman at the counter is disrespectful, unprofessional and a bigot. I've been a member since the bank was State Employees Credit Union. Over 26 years. I've continued to stick with the same crew in all mergers. I needed a process done in the bank and this individual sucked her teeth, rolled her eyes and verbally said 'whatever'. I asked for a simple process to be done. It's obvious that she is judging the individuals that come through the door. And she is applying her performance based off her opinion. The Credit Union, to my understanding, is supposed to be supportive to the community on All levels. I was introduced to this bank through my mother who was a teacher. Because she had a relationship with employees at the Beatties Ford branch, when she passed away, they made sure that I was walked through the process of clearing her estate. Personally! I know what good service is. All my bills are paid, I have a good credit score and I have a long history with 1 specific bank. I don't understand why I should feel like I am being discriminated against, while turning around and walking out the door. The Providence branch needs to explore better employee motivational strategies. It doesn't make a difference if you are a minority and you work here with this individual because when you turn your secure back, what happens to the ones that look like you? I'm doing the right thing, just like you. So what changed?

  I been with this bank over 10yrs & had over 20,000 in my acct to purchase a home.. got denied to buy a home Thur self help..3 months later I was approved to buy a home thur Movement Mortgage.. months later I applied for a loan (credit good now for anything) The guy name JEAN told me several lies, on a Friday he said he would get bck with me…come Tuesday he’s still waiting on a answer- whole time he has denied my loan in the computer- do to “his knowledge” I might have to many bills BUT HE SUGGESTED FOR ME TO FIND ANOTHER LENDER TO BOROOW MONEY .. I went to Founders (not a member) I got the money I needed to borrow & more ..”Jean” why deny me but want me to go to another bank to get the money? Shame on U
