  Don't expect any help or support from this company in this Covid-19 disaster. Requested a brief forbearance as I had lost my job. When I attempted to apply for a loan modification they sent me a packet to fill out (the 4th time I am giving this information to them) with a letter threatening me they would foreclose. I wish I could take my business elsewhere but am to far into my mortgage to make it a financially responsible move.

  I can not stress enough how poor my experience has been with SPM. If you are a current customer, or future customer I would encourage you to look elsewhere for your lending needs. My largest complain is with their escrow department. After purchasing my first home, I assumed it would be easy to just roll up my hazard insurance and county taxes into my monthly payment, however, I recently found out that SPM failed to make timely payment on my homeowners and flood insurance on my behalf. I in turn paid for them on my CC and will now have to have a third audit done on my escrow account in order to get money out to pay those bills. What's more annoying is my request to remove my escrow account, so I could pay my taxes and insurance directly in the future was denied. Additionally, SPM does not appear to understand supplemental tax bills resulting from a new home sale. I had to explain them to their representative and request an escrow audit in order to get my own money back to help pay the supplemental tax bill. Considering I have paid these people over $15,000 in interest to date for the privilege of borrowing their money, and for them to pay my taxes and insurance on time, I would expect much better. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
