  An absolute joke of a mortgage broker. Paul Sanders turned our house purchase into a nightmare. If you have to choose between using this company and going homeless, do yourself a favor and go ahead and pick out a nice tent to live out of. The only reason I'm giving this guy one star, is because there isn't an option to leave 0.

  Kevin was the Seller of a home in Alma, and I was working for the Buyer to purchase his home. Sometimes circumstances line up to complicate a real estate transaction. The Buyer/Borrower would not agree with you or the thousands of other happy purchasers and other borrowers who have financed their home through Somerset Mortgage the past 21 years. The primary complication affecting the timing on this transaction was the appraisal. By regulation, all appraisals are ordered through an AMC - an Appraisal Management Company and there aren’t a lot of appraisers in the Alma area and those covering that area were very busy. When an appraiser was finally engaged, that appraiser ultimately refused to do the appraisal because the former site of your home was a mobile home which burned down. While the declining of the appraisal assignment was disappointing, Appraisal regulations give me little control over the assigning of appraisers, but we were forced to have the AMC find another available appraiser. Through some extraordinary effort, I did help you get a copy of your old appraisal, which you did not have, and that helped get an appraiser assigned who did appraise your home, remember? There was also an initial timing complication when the closing date for the sale of your home was AFTER the closing date on the purchase of your new home. I had nothing to do with that timing. The sale of your home did close. Congratulations.
