  Fees are absolutely ridiculous.......$8.00 fee to cash a check if you're not a member, even if the check is from an account with them.

  Hi Jehu, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. As a service to our customers, we currently cash checks drawn on South State Bank accounts. Non-South State account holders are charged a small processing fee on business checks or personal checks in the amount of $50 or more.   Manager and FSR are incredibly unprofessional and are NEVER in the branch when customers need them. Tellers seem to be the only ones available to speak with customers but do not have the authority as management does. Upper management needs to come in and either fire their manager and FSR or retrain them on the hours of operation... This is Charlotte people! NO bank should be ran like this! It is absolutely ridiculous

  Longest loan process ever. The girl in charge of emailing us, some type of a staff, is terrible. She asks for the wrong stuff, then she fills out the firms wrong, then she blames her mistakes on us, and then she asks for items she already has. I am not sure this girl even graduated from high school. Her boss is copied on all of it, but doesn't step in. It's a joke. I do NOT recommend.
