      I guess I'm a little more old fashioned. I had been working in Pawnee for about a month and a half. I had a paycheck to cash so I came here. I understand that a lot of places say if you don't have an account with them, they won't cash it. But we are talking about Pawnee, Ne. this is the Heartland right? A local worked for us and cashed the same check here one week before, but he lived there. I even asked if I opened an account could I at least get $200.00 of it because I didn't have any more cash, and I wanted to get groceries. (It was a 600.00 check) the manager absolutely refused. So I went across the street to the Blazing Bull, told them my situation and they took my check and cashed it! That is what I call a heartland moment. Glad there are still people out there that understand the impact of helping someone, and how much it means to this person.
