  Customer service is excellent, I use the downtown drive through weekly for our company deposits. The Teller is always friendly and courteous. Leslie McGill is our business account representative and she takes real good care of us and is always a joy!!

  Many reasons that this bank will not get an account from me. 1. The teller I saw was unable to count. Might sound like that was a prerequisite for the job, but that might not be the case. I handed my teller 6 checks for $250 each and was given $1240 in return. Pretty far off of the $1500 I expected. 2. In my opinion these folks are thieves! To charge someone $5 to cash a check... That is off of this bank is highway robbery. So it seems that if I deposit money then need to write a friend a check I better write it for $5 more than I owe. 3. Absolutely no privacy for account holders. If you are standing on the right or left you can read everything the telling is unputing about the person next to you. I was easily able to record a video of the next person's account details. See the photo attached . If you are looking for a bank in the HSV area I suggest Redstone Federal or Servis1st. Both cash checks off of their bank for no fee. The photo is low res on purpose. No reason to spill the beans on the account holder next to me. This is not Synovus policy apparently, since I could read it plainly from the spot I was standing.

  Don't call customer care and expect any help. I've called twice and both times was told to go to a branch and let them handle it. Got a little bit of an attitude from the representative too. Not a very good business practice.
