      Locally owned Synovus Bank is an old fashioned place—they care! I recently made a mistake and deposited checks thru the Synovus ATM that were for an account at a different bank. I imagined it would be a horrendous bureaucratic nightmare. Nellie, the new Green Hills manager, responded immediately to my call and jumped thru multiple hoops to retrieve the errant checks before they disappeared into the maw of the system.
