Tried to deposit a business check that was issued just over 6 months ago and despite having the approval by the institution issuing the check, the teller told me the would not be able cash the check as they have a 6 months limit. While this was not the tellers fault, she was rude during the whole explanation as if I was supposed to know their policies. I've been banking with TCF over 10 years but their inflexibility during this COVID pandemic has been the breaking point for me. I will be looking for a new bank in the near future. Update: Their response asked me to contact them to help resolve the issue. I contacted them through facebook and they responded (after 3 days) that someone would call me. No one ever called or left a voicemail. I called their helpline myself, and was told its up to the discretion of the branch and they could not help.
