  I want to know Whyyyyyyy when I have a family member my bank account # and she had some money transferred to my checking account that it is on an alert and when the lady called me today she was not only rude, her tone was very much inappropriate, I told her who the money came from and who she is to me and she asked me what did I need the money for like it was her business and even after I offered to do a three way call she said we’re not doing that but huh Whyyyyyyy. I would have drove to south bend if I would have known it was going to be a big problem and when I called my family member they said the same thing that they felt like they were being questioned and the person was being rude…

While we certainly regret that your felt our representative came across the way they did (which we have addressed internally) their intent was in keeping with TCU's - and all financial institutions' - responsibility to safeguard the security of our members' accounts. Certain types of transactions - or patterns of transactions - are automatically "flagged" in our system for our team to review and take action to ensure our members' accounts are kept secure. Often these transactions can be readily explained once we have a chance to speak with our member. We regret the inconvenience this can cause, but assure you the actions were taken out of an abundance of caution to protect your account.

  I have been a very happy customer with TCU for years now and the downtown branch (Washington & Capitol) has been my "go-to" branch for much of that time. Super helpful staff with friendly smiles...and usually COFFEE.
