  First experience: I was assisted by Carlos G. for a auto loan. My experience was just ok, but also a bit disappointing on a couple of points. First one being a wait time on payment and documents being sent to the dealer during the time of purchase. I was left waiting for nearly 2 hours, after being told I will be receiving payment shortly. I called approximately 2 hours later to only be told he was on break. Fortunately the dealer was accommodating during the waiting time. Secondly this is a BIG concern to me and should be for others. Make sure you're reviewing signing documents. They will automatically place in a guaranteed cost of life and disability insurance without explaining it or giving option to opt out. They may say that your apr point will increase to sway decision, but at least you will have the option to say choose. In my case it was an increase cost of the vehicle $3111. It's unfortunate my set expectation APR increased because I needed to cancel this within 30 days, but at the given time being there already for many hours I was ready to go and sign due to prior important engagements. I cancelled at a later date when time was available and this is when I discovered the increase in APR percent. I originally chose them to streamline the purchase and get a better APR but even with having outstanding credit it is 4.299% under these circumstances.... Services are mediocre and to deal with the hidden fee concept with the bank and not the dealer says something.... all in all give yourself time when making big purchases and dealing with banks or sellers. Banks have turned their bankers into sales employees rather than bankers, so I understand quotas. My experience with carsandpickups.com was a great fair price and no haggle experience, as always know how to look over a vehicle or have a professional assist as well. Update: After having this experience with this location Maria C. Assistant branch manager reached out to help make it right. She corrected documentation for the cancellation, including the APR. While Carlos increased it up to 4.299 after cancelling the protection plan, she lowered it back down to original 4.099 stating it shouldn't have changed based on opting out. Maria is very pleasant to work with and does an excellent job with customer service! Thank you.

  Honestly feels more like a regular bank than a credit union considering all the fees they charge, worst Bank I’ve had so far. They charge a monthly fee on each checking account so if you’re like me with multiple you’ll be charged 6-8$ EACH account plus you have to keep a minimum in each. Don’t want to pay a monthly fee? Then you will have a very high minimum balance to keep in that account. Oh you want to close your account? That’ll be $18. Oh you want to take all of your money out and keep it open? You’ll still be charged monthly and owe the bank money still. There’s way better credit Unions out there.

  It doesn't make since every time I come to the channelview location it's long wait periods before you get help customer service is very poor.
