I’ve wanted to put together a review of The Mather Group for some time now. I have been with TMG for approximately 11 years. I met with a few different advisors prior and they all seemed to have the same sales pitch, which was “everything looks great we can set you up with a 72T account and you should be good to go!” This was back in August 2008. Then I met with Stewart Mather, and he explained the volatile market we were experiencing at the time, and suggested not going with a 72 T and possibly working for 3 more years in some capacity and not draw on my retirement in such a volatile market. This made perfect sense to my wife and I, so at that time I waited for the opportune time to retire. Well that came in January 2009, Stewart called and explained to me his thoughts on where the market was going and that this looked like a very good time to take my retirement funds and enter the market. I entered that market 11 years ago at the 7400 point and never looked back! Had I taken out that 72T back in 08 I wouldn’t have the funds I have today. TMG has also helped me in the purchase of several properties, pay off mortgages, taxes, insurance etc. I have worked with Stewart, Michael and now Brian Schmehil, if you call, they answer the phone, if you email, they email back... I have always felt that they have my best interests in mind. Highly recommended. Pat Coyne
