  Third Federal in Fort Myers has several loan packages that will not be beaten anywhere. My family's experience with Third Federal in refinancing our mortgage and gaining a line of credit were both great. They have a professional staff with national support. The interest rate of our loan was LOWER than any we saw on the internet. I'll repeat this...LOWEST AVAILABE LOAN RATES ANYWHERE! This was a great experience and it took 2 years off the end of our loan! Go here before you finance anywhere else. : )

  On March 4, 2020, I paid off our HELOC. Received a statement showing a $0 balance. I never received anything else from the bank so on May 18, I contacted Lee County to ensure that the satisfaction of this loan had been recorded. I was shocked to find it had not. I called the bank but no one answered. The next day, I contacted the bank, was transferred more than once and then was told I needed to send an email to satisfactions. I did that immediately. I then called the branch and was told they were very busy and someone would get back to me. This from a bank that in the five years we had this loan never had more than me whenever I visited the branch. No response from either party, so I went to the bank the next day. When I arrived, I was the only one in the bank. Talked to the manager. She had not received a message that I had called the previous day but had received and email from the main branch trying to obtain information about my HELOC. She tried calling multiple staff at the main branch and left messages, so I left without an answer. I received an email from satisfactions later that day that referred me to their website where I had to create a log in so I could view their response. They are very picky about the password. I was advised that I would receive papers documenting the paid loan via overnight FedEx. The next day, I did. Imagine my shock when I looked at the paperwork and discovered that while I did receive my paperwork not marked paid, I also received another couple's paperwork marked paid. I contacted the bank and asked what they wanted me to do with it. They've asked me to return it to the bank. Poor excuse for a bank. I will never do business with them again.

  Applied for a HELOC and submitted all the required documents within 2 days. Waited WEEKS for an answer. After a month, I finally had to call and demand answers. Only to have them tell me there was an issue, that should have been identified at the start of the application process. To make matters worse, I was actually told they were unable to process my loan application because the underwriter was on vacation for the last three weeks!!! The most unprofessional banking institution I have ever delt with!!!
