It was a nightmare working with Stephanie Borte as our Mortgage Loan Processor. She asked us to submit the same documents multiple times. Zero compassion for us and our transition to Virginia. Made us jump through hoops and in the very end once our home closed. Towne Mortgage sold our mortgage to a horrible mortgage company - PennyMac. We originally choose to stay local and if we knew this was going to happen we would have save ourselves a headache and pick someone else.

So, disappointed! We chose Towne Mortgage when purchasing our new home because they were HIGHLY recommended to us. The actual purchase process with them was very good. We were very pleased with everything along the way... until closing day. We learned while sitting at the table at our closing appointment that our loan was going to be sold to another lender. Not only was it sold to another lender but, it was sold to a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE lender! We had chosen Towne Mortgage only to be sold to this other company. It was completely out of our control and we felt very betrayed that we were never notified or made aware that our loan would be sold. We would have chosen another lender altogether had they made us aware.
