  Over the weekend I submitted an online inquiry for business loan options, not expecting a prompt follow-up, or one at all. I actually anticipated that the bank would see my inquiry, brush it off, and I would have to call to follow up on it. That was not the case at all. Towne bank followed up immediately that Monday. I had the best experience with Chris Thorn. I just started a business and I expected to be shut down immediately in regards to what I wanted to do. Chris took the time to speak with me, understand what I was trying to do, and discuss the situation looking at it on a case by case basis with a colleague to see if what I was trying to do could be accomplished. Although it couldn’t at this time, I was extremely appreciative of him as a knowledgeable resource and I appreciate him listening to me and not shutting me down. I will be returning to towne bank for my future banking needs based on my experience with him. He is an asset to towne bank.

  Could use some customer service training. First impression wasn’t a good one. As soon as I entered the building instead of being greeted properly I was asked if I was a member. I had to cash a check for a little under $300 she decided to give me $180 in all $10 dollar bills because she did not have anything larger. I find that strange since it is a BANK.

  The old bait and switch. Advertised 1.65 percent CD for 5 months. Traveled 20 miles to the bank . . .and told they have the ability to adjust when they want. They told me the rate expired at the end of May, athough it is still up on their website June 8th. Not a good way to start a new bank . . . . Last night, I also sent an email on their online contact us page. I have not received a response.
