      I will start off by saying if I had to do it over again I would not go to TowneBank Morgage. Realize that after you start the loan process you are no longer the customer, the financial institution that is buying the mortgage from TowneBank becomes the customer. After initially providing the requested information, we were continuously asked for more and more information. This continued up until the night before closing and my attorney did not receive the loan package until two hours before we were to close. The most frustrating part is my net worth as figured by TowneBank is 5 times the amount of mortgage. The loan was promptly sold to another institution within days. So much for the "local" bank the claim to be.
