Steve was easy to work with and quick to respond, but some things just didn't add up. We needed to hit a certain rate % and closing costs for the refi to make sense, and while the rate hit what we needed, he presented paperwork with crazy high closing costs that would have pushed out the breakeven longer than we wanted. After explaining this, he said he fixed it and was ready for us to close. When we showed up to the title company (taking off work to do so), the closing costs were still crazy high and Steve was out of office when we tried to call and ask what happened. He tried to "make it up to us" again afterward, but by that point we were ready to just be done. Ended up refinancing with our current lender. Was a lot easier of a process and painless to do so. If you have a massive loan and closing costs aren't as big of a deal, Steve is easy to work with and a pleasant person. But sometimes it just doesn't work out.
