  Originally a small town bank that eventually ended up as Trustmark. Have a personal account there, never had any problems. On the HOA account however, incorrect amount was deposited but I caught it when the teller handed me the receipt, so watch your receipts. Took a long time to change over from previous Sec/Treasurer plus address change and many visits, but eventually it was fixed. Nice, clean, vintage building with lots of history.

  When I opened my account and a joint account with my son with Trustmark in Montevallo, AL, I declined the overdraft service. Recently, Trustmark decided to cover an automated charge coming from eBay when we didn't have enough money in the joint account and then charged our account the overdraft fees instead of declining the charge. I had transferred the money from my account to cover the charges from eBay while the charge from eBay was still in a pending status, but Trustmark insisted on collecting the fees for the overdraft despite the fact that the overdraft service was declined when the account was opened. Today I got a call from a lady in the Montevallo branch telling me that they cannot refund the overdraft fees and that they were closing the account. She declined to give me her name. I can’t help but to wonder if I didn’t speak with an accent, she would have given me more consideration and wouldn’t have took it upon herself to close my account. Trustmark, is this how you treat your customers?

  The montevallo Al branch is fine unless you ask them a question no one actually knows the answer the branch manager knows my husbands family and when I asked her a question that the person that answered the phone wasn’t clear on she said just because I know you doesn’t mean I can do anything my reply was I never asked for a favor I asked for you to explain what 4 forms of I’d would be for a 14 year old to open a checking account with a debit card to begin to learn and asked if I could sign on to the account as well rude demeanor and not very knowledgeable if It could not be done that was fine I was expecting information to let me know what to do when it was possible very disappointed in customer service and definitely not friendly for future adults and families that are trying teach there children!! Still don’t k ow the answer
