      $7 check cashing fee is ridiculous.

      Good morning Rick. We certainly understand your frustration. There is a risk involved with immediately converting a check to cash. While we do have the ability to verify that funds are available, we do not have the time to ensure that cashed checks are legitimate. The fee is charged to help offset the risk to the branch for providing this service. We do not charge this fee for minors, or checks that are less than $50.
