  As business owners, we cannot recommend Umpqua highly enough. We previously banked with one of the largest banks in the country and received virtually no communication nor support when we needed it the most. The final straw was when we were applying for the COVID Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan. The bank we had been working with refused to communicate any updates on our application and then denied us because of a "system glitch." With the program's funds dwindling rapidly, we were certain that we were going to miss our opportunity so we approached Umpqua. Within a matter of a couple of days they helped us submit a new PPP application. We received funding shortly thereafter, as Umpqua had set up an extremely efficient process to capture and distribute funding ahead of most other banks. We subsequently moved all our banking to Umpqua. Without exception, every single person at this branch has been incredibly helpful, attentive and proactive. We receive follow-up calls without requesting them, solutions to problems we didn't specifically ask assistance with (or that even pertain to banking) and more. Umpqua treats us not just as valued clients but more like business partners. We've personally banked with the nation's largest banks, with credit unions and a nationwide bank who caters to the military with a very good reputation. None of them compare to the service levels Umpqua has provided.

  We have banked with Umpqua for 15 years and have primarily dealt with the Clackamas Branch. All of the interaction with the staff have been great. I especially appreciate Josh Kirby, he is personable and professional and helped us on a number of banking issues.
