      Never has long lines, always been easy to get things done quickly here. I've been banking here since I was about 8 years old and have never had any issues

      Never have a problem at the SM branch and have been a customer for more years than I can count (since the demise of Bank of Santa Maria). But they recently bounced a large check to a local vendor because they thought the signature might be different. We weren't notified in any way. No, they cleared the check, then reversed it. The VENDOR'S bank, of course, let them know I bounced a check. Humiliating and the first in 50 years. I have to pay the $25 returned check fee AND a $15 cashier's check fee. The bank is "sorry for the inconvenience". Obviously, customer service is not a high priority. Beware of writing checks when you bank with Union Bank!

      You can’t deposit money in your own account without an ID even if you have the account number your social and can be verified by providing your information. They must see your photo ID for any deposits. 15 years as a customer I think I need a new bank
