  Had a terrible experience with the “Manager” Traci, or Tracey today when going to this place. I felt absolutely belittled and stigmatized. I had to go to this check cashing place to cash a check mailed from my job. Upon trying to cash my check she states the check is too old. The check date was August 14th and I literally just received it in the mail TWO DAYS AGO. Mind you, just last week this same Traci told me they cash checks up to 30 days. How do you tell me my check is too old when dated AUGUST 14th, 2020? I knew right then and there it wasn’t a case of the check being too old. I was profiled and assumed to be trying to cash a fraudulent check. Once that excuse didn’t fly, she then proceeded to tell me Bank Of America doesn’t verify for them. Bank of America is my place of employment but the check is a Citibank check I received from overpayment while on my maternity leave. I’ve never had a problem with cashing my checks at this business up until my dealings with Traci, who when asked, said she didn’t have access to corporates number or any contact for management over her. I am still extremely disappointed in how I was treated and how the situation was handled. I WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. To this Traci who so wrongly judged me, I would like you to know I am an educated, college-Degreed, respectable, hard worker, and full time mother. I work hard for everything I have and I would never own a fraudulent check. Traci, I don’t want to, but I am going to pray for you because the world deserves those who are less evil, judgemental, and assuming the worst in people like you. I am also going to pray you lose your job. You don’t deserve to have it if you are that malicious and blatantly lie.

  We're sorry you had that experience. Tracey is our most seasoned professional, very mild mannered and not hot headed. I only wish I was as cool headed and professional. She is the manager & really the last person you can talk to for public issues, as we are a small store with only 1.5 employees. I stand behind her completely and the financial decisions she must make, some of which are tough and may not please every customer every time. Your check was probably perfectly fine. However, at this point in time, without her, I am sure our store would be out of business cashing the amount of bad checks floating out there, with the huge spike in criminal activity since the Covid shut downs, the big city looting & violence, and the mass hatred against police, and how it has dismantled a lot of law & authority. Another store has shut down temporarily and is struggling to survive with its reopen. It may not survive with the poor decisions the prior management made. Tracey has made the Dover store thrive in this horrible economy. And she has been doing it all by herself these past few months! That is a testament of the masses in favor of Tracey. She is not evil, malicious, a liar, or any of those ugly names. She just didn't cash a check. It was a judgment call. That's all. It was not personal, and we are sorry we could not cash that particular check for you.
