  Very unpleasant CEO Iwona Karpeta, she has NO understanding of exceptions due to Covid-19 I was unable to make the deposit. She would not approve a deposit of expired $25 Certificate that was given to my child for outstanding grades in Polish School. I'll contact the Board of Directors about this unpleasant situation that occurred. It's about the principal that my child earned this award and not about the nominal amount. Here's how Polish people DO NOT HELP each other!!

  All of the award certificates have an expiration date that was extended by 2 whole months in 2020; the certificate presented expired 09/30/2020 so going on 8 months ago. As you eloquently stated it is not money coming out of my private pocket, but as I tried to explain to you it is the Credit Union's. As the CEO it is my responsibility it to make sure the policies and rules set by the Board are obeyed even when not popular with the members. The Credit Union made a number of concessions and accommodations to our members in 2020 as a response to the pandemic. All our fees were waived for almost the entire 2020. All loans were given the option of skipping payments with no extra fees or easily modifying them due to the pandemic. We actually added services to better serve our members, including becoming PPP lender in early April 2020. BOTH our offices remained open throughout the pandemic- actual lobby traffic, new consumer loans, mortgage in-person closings and free notary public service. To better support our young members, the Board approved more than double the original 2020 budget to grant scholarship to ALL applicants in 2020. We continued to support Polish supplementary schools with continued donations as well. I respectfully disagree with you- Polish people DO help and support each other and our almost 57 years of service to the Polish community is the proof of that as well. I will be happy to bring your complaint to the Board's attention at their next meeting. Respectfully, Iwona Karpeta
