  I very highly recommend Lauren Thurman and the University Lending Group. I needed to buy my new house very quickly and they went out of their way to help make it happen. They facilitated the whole buying process in a way that made it easy for us. My realtor remarked that such a quick buy would not have been possible with any other lending company. In addition, they were kind, patient and professional in all of their dealings with me. Definitely the best option by far in Tallahassee.

  I have never experienced a more unprofessional interaction. I was recommended university by my real estate agent and the seller's agent. I called a loan officer and we began discussing my loan, when I asked him if he could match the rate given to me by an out of town agent apparently that was infuriating to him. He sent a note to the seller's agent that I had already signed a loan with another agent (even though that was an outright lie) in an attempt to tank the transaction in a way I would even consider contractual interference. I am shocked by how unprofessional this loan officer was and would never recommend this group to anyone. Edit: I did speak to the branch manager who was very kind and apologetic and told me it would be handled internally. So I would like to believe it was just one rogue unprofessional agent.

  My experience was not pleasant. I was told everything was good and even signed a contract with a locked rate. Then, 2 weeks later and (1 day after the contingency grace period ended), I was told that they were unable to finance me!! 😳 They had all my information for 2(months) plus another 2 weeks after signing a contract with University Lending to verify all was good with underwriting.. yet dropped the ball in the 9th inning. I went to Ameris Bank and had another loan secured (with a better rate and terms) within 24 hours thanks to Layna Kirkham.
