      Had a FANTASTIC experience working with Whitefish Credit Union--we couldn't have asked for a better team to help us through the process of buying a first home.       Just move to a new town and trying to buy a house. Started a new job and they knew that from the beginning and drug us around getting all our info just to deny us the loan because I wasn't at my place of work for 6 months. REALLY! YOU KNEW THAT FROM DAY 1!!!. THANKS FOR WAISTING OUT TIME!!

      I had high hopes for WCU but unfortunately the experience the past few years hasn't been as expected. If you think as a credit union they'll treat you more fairly than a big bank you may be disappointed. Don't assume you'll get a better mortgage rate or their online banking has the same functionality/controls you may be accustomed. For example, they don't offer simple things like auto-draft protection. I was charged two overdraft fees, and even though I corrected immediately, had plenty in my WCU saving account, and it was the first time, they agreed to reimburse just one of them. Surprising, considering last year I paid them over 12K in mortgage interest on my WCU loan.
