  I used to go to this pawnshop all the time, my credit rating is 100% of everything I have ever pawned here. I am the Owner of Mr. Turtle Lawn and Landscaping, Christmas has set us back this year. So my wife and I take one of our mowers up there to get a loan, mainly cuz the banks were closed. We took a 2021 John deer zero turn for a week pawn asking $500.00, no one that I knew even works there anymore. My wife and I with receipt in handle for the mower were looked at as if we stole the mower, even with receipt showing we paid full price from the mower back in march. We were treated like we had no standing credits. Our mower has 48 hours on it, still runs like when we bought it from Quality Imports! We were even in our company truck when we took it up there. My wife was rudely turned down for the loan due to her drivers license being expired, mine however is not, due to the pandemic of slowing everything down, she is still waiting for her appointment date to get it renewed. The quality of service that I was used to when Steven ran that shop just was not there. So of course we loaded up the mower and took it back to the shop. We were forced to wait for the bank to open and to get a Loan to help us…

  Chester, there was no problem giving you a loan for $500 that you asked for. We must ask questions about ownership to cover ourselves in case they are stolen. Due to the item being in such new great condition, we did ask for a receipt. This not only helps us but helps anyone that has an item stolen from them. You may have perceived this as being rude, but it was in no way intended to be. After showing a receipt, your wife was going to pawn the mower but said her Id was expired. Our employee informed her we would not be able write a loan with an expired Id. Your wife then said, “and his Id expired in June, sorry about that”. You can come by and listen to this on our video and audio surveillance if you would like to verify. By state and local law, we are not allowed to take an expired Id. This is what caused us to not be able to give you or your wife a loan on your mower. We must follow state and local laws to keep our license. We miss Steve as well. Three of the four employees that are working here worked along with Steve.
