  Leaving another review because my last one disappeared. Firstly, I want to apologize to those of you that are a victim of the company who has built an empire based of scamming people. This company at random sends checks to peoples home.. which they get your information through trans union. Apparently, it does matter who cashes the check. I was informed that if it’s sent to your address, you are responsible/liable. Buckle up.. I had this supposed check mailed to my apartment, along with 2 other follow up letters. 1 letter inform me of “thank you for choosing us as a lender” (which I had no choice, OBVIOUSLY) and other stating “if this is not correct please call this number”. << I thought that was odd. I also, think it’s odd that this company called me after this supposedly person cashed the check to tell me I was responsible, which at the time I thought was a joke/scam call because they also told me that the last 4 social did NOT match mine, but that I was still responsible. How you going to tell me a check was mailed to my address, associated with my ssn, cash under my name but different social, yet the loan balance is still under my social?? They couldn’t even understand their on process when I explained that to them, they could only apologize. Oh, and mention that this has happen before. SCAMMERS!!! Also, when I went to the police station to file the fraudulent charges, the officer gave me the news that the ssn does not exist. GO FIGURE. When I went back to the office, this company has the audacity to tell me they couldn’t give me a hard copy stating that I am no longer responsible for this account/balance. Which I knew they were going to tell me that anyway… so I was prepared. Luckily before I left the police station, I asked if they refuse can I call you back out. She said yes. Sure enough, I had to tell them the police were on their way. Once they knew that, they speed up that process. RIDICULOUS that I even had to do that. It’s sad that this probably happens to tons of people. And really my theory is that this company cashes their own checks with fraud ssn, then calls you right after to let you know of the balance. No one is willing to question this bc no one is educated enough, but I will get to the bottom of it. I will be seeking help from new channels and lawyers. In hopes that this doesn’t happen again.
