  One of the "principals" in this firm filed my taxes incorrectly in 2019 (a loss to me of over $3k) and again in 2020 (loss of over 2k). Interestingly, though he knew of my overpayment and acknowledged it, he never suggested filing amended taxes, which resulted in significant issues legally. I can't imagine how many other years he messed up our company taxes. Avoid this company. BTW, I'm not Rick.

  I commonly do not leave poor reviews as everyone is human and I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, however I felt the need to leave a review of Yeo & Yeo to give others a warning. I've used a number of accounting firms over the last 10 years, each time improving in quality of work. The old saying "you get what you pay for" couldn't be further from the truth in regards to Yeo & Yeo. While the staff is responsive & courteous, their quality of work is poor. You pay accountants for their financial expertise & knowledge they gained from their years of experience and education and are expecting an accurate work product as an end result. After numerous conversations with the or a "Principal" of Yeo & Yeo and the accountant physically performing the work the answer I received was along the lines of "refer to our agreement, we are not responsible for accuracy." Understandably their work is only as good as the information they are provided, however they also need to ask for any information they need to see. We paid them a large amount of money to review our financials for accuracy and perform our tax returns. After paying them nearly $6k we ended up having to re-do their work as it was not accurate nor did it reconcile out overall. It costed us well over $20k to audit and re-do the work we paid them to complete accurately. Upon re-doing their work, we had a few transactions in which we were not sure how to record properly so we asked.. Long story short we had to figure it out on our own prior to Yeo & Yeo completing the tax returns. We assumed that Yeo & Yeo did some form of confirmation our work was correct, at least quickly, prior to completing and submitting tax returns to the IRS. Turns out they don't, they just take what you give them and submit with no confirmation it was accurate or that you're making the most of the current tax laws. We feel confident in our work, however it's always nice to have a "professional" ensure it is accurate using methods available to them, such as simple reconciliations. Bottom line, Yeo & Yeo is very expensive for the service they are offering and if you question their work or that you were charged accordingly the standard response is essentially "review our agreement, we are not responsible for anything, we just take your money." Additionally, they decided to inform me a month prior to the deadline that they would be unable to timely prepare my taxes this year, leaving me in a tough position of finding another accounting firm that can.
