  I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Abdi Escobar over the phone. If you are a woman and enjoy being talked down to and have simple things mansplained to you, this is the right place to go! I spoke with Abdi over the phone in hopes to help my landlord submit documents she needed from my account which is not with Chase. I called Abdi and asked what the name of the document was so I may request it from my bank, as I had already submitted multiple documents and been told that is not what Chase is looking for. Anyway, he went on a tangent about what happens when you buy or sell anything…. as if I have never made a purchase in my life. I got annoyed and told him to stop mansplaining as my time is valuable and to please tell me the name/ number of the needed document. He still couldn’t give me a straight answer and lost his professionalism after I told him he was being condescending, and instead of apologizing he tells me he doesn’t have to deal with me! I have worked in the banking industry in my youth and I would’ve never been so unprofessional regardless the situation. The conversation ended with him hanging up and not doing his job, which is to help Chase customers finalize their transaction. It has been 3 months since beginning this otherwise quick process, I can see now that his lack of professional communication is a real reason why my elderly landlord has been having a hard time dealing with him too and communicating what documents are needed. This could’ve easily been resolved months ago if Abdi had a better attitude towards his customers and intention to actually be helpful.
