      Stopped by to cash a paycheck and I don’t bank with them. They needed a thumb print on the check, no big deal. Makes sense, whatever. Then because I don’t have an account it’s a $5 fee? I’ve never heard of that. I’ve been going to another bank company down the street to cash my checks for months (different branches even of the same bank) and never incurred a fee. Years ago when I worked another job, went to the bank to cash my live checks and never got a fee. This is the first time I’ve ever gotten a fee for cashing a live check with a bank that facilitates the account the check was written from.
