Why recommend Alaska USA? First and foremost the customer service. Branch staff are always friendly. Phone calls are answered personally -- I appreciate talking to a person rather than a dim-witted voice menu system.

Unfortunately a very bad experience here. Tried to deposit a bit of money into my account, and they entered the account name wrong. Small issue, but the teller had no clue how to reverse this. They requested I sign to complete the transaction even though it was the wrong account, so they could "reverse it"! I said that didn't make sense and they got frustrated with me! Their colleague called over to them "He can't sign for someone else's account". I then stood around for 20 minutes for a very simple transaction to be sorted. I don't think any malice was meant (except the awkward confrontation where they asserted I needed to sign to deposit money into another account!), It just seems like a lack of training and quality. Hopefully it can be improved.
