  Probably the worst lending experience I have had. Ryan was competent but his team (Annette and Johnathan) is unprofessional and just unable to be assistance to the process. I provided the same documents at least four times in four different email chains and was still being requested for more documents that I sent over. I closed on a Friday and almost didnt get possession of the house the same day because Ryan and his team stopped talking to me and the title company and never sent corrections so I didnt get a final amount until two hours before closing and wasn't able to wire the funds until an hour befor closing. I only obtained a final amount after threatening to sue them which seems excessive that it has to get that for them to do their job. I will be refinancing as soon as I can so I get a loan from actual professionals. Edit: Well Ryan went and made me eat my words. A month after closing I am still signing papers, I have to go to the title company again because this company cannot apparently perform simple task, like email clients and vendors, fax papers or be held responsible for anything. Do yourself a favor just don't ever need or obtain anything from Amerifirst

  All good at first. Everything went smooth, rates are good, people are nice. BUT. During the initial sale we discussed the ability to remove PMI after the loan value was below 80% It would/may only cost an appraisal fee and doing some paperwork. 6 months later and I'm ready to drop that PMI. I contact my agent, he says it's going to be a refi and I'll be better off, so I get an appraisal ordered by them. Also had to get a survey done because they didn't do that last year when I purchased the home. Now I get the almost final numbers... 14k in fees, higher interest, 30 years again.. I go to the amerifirst website and dig around... what do I find?? A FAQ on dropping PMI! Just call the #. The agent was very helpful and explained my 3 options 1.get a broker opinion for $150, 2. Get and appraisal $325 ( the one that was just done that cost me $400 doesn't count), 3. Pay a lump sum to get loan below 80%
