  STAY AWAY!!! I had 2 mortgages with Ameris, both of which came with mistakes in my escrow accounts and incompetent customer service. One of those mortgages is not even 6 months old, I have had 3 escrow analyses completed, all of which have been incorrect and now they are including an escrow back payment in my mortgage statements. Currently looking into what other options I have since they clearly demonstrate no intention of correcting this.

  I had the worst experience getting approved for my mortgage with ameris. They lied and told me I didn’t qualify for a mortgage loan with a lower rate and higher down payment assistance so they could make more money off of me. I brought it to their concern and then they gave me the better option. Minorities steer clear. They will lie and abuse you financially. I even gave them a chance to fix it. Their lie cost me over $7k and that’s not ok. Ameris engages in predatory lending behaviors with minorities and it’s unacceptable and not right. Becky settles is the worst and Michael covered it up. Not a bank for minorities who want to be treated fairly and honestly when applying for any lending products. Disappointed and disgraceful. This is why economic inequality exists. Disappointed
