  We just moved in to a lovely condo in Kona, and couldn’t have done it without the expert help of April Nelson, our mortgage loan originator at Homebridge Financial Services. From the very beginning of the process to the day we closed, April was there to give us sound financial advice. We had never bought a home in Hawaii, and hadn’t sold one in thirty years, so much of the time we were confused by various details and needed explanations. April responded with unfailing patience and professionalism to every query we made, even when I would get frustrated with some of the twists and turns along the way. When things went sideways (as they can in this crazy homebuying market), she would offer kind encouragement without being patronizing. We had many pleasant phone conversations, during which my wife and I learned a great deal both about the lending process and the pleasures of West Hawaii. And when the process came to a conclusion, April was able to maneuver us into a mortgage rate better than the one we had been ready to accept. Working closely with another expert, our realtor Penn Henderson from NextHome, April was able to help us get to our goal of living in Kona. April Nelson displays a rare combination of professional acumen and personal attention. She took care of complex technical matters skillfully and promptly, all the while making us feel as though she really cared about our house search, and about us. We not only have a place to live here now, but we also have a friend. Thank you, April!

  April was the absolute best! She is an amazing communicator, detail oriented and very professional. She was very considerate about the time difference to where we live and she was super patient with the 100's of questions we had! We don't feel like we could have purchased our amazing property without her!!!

  April Nelson is the best for walking you thru what turned out to be a very sticky situation for me with my former mortgage lender, who had assumed my mortgage back in May. She successfully concluded a new refinancing with her company, and reversed all of the negative financial impacts I had undergone. Many thanks April. You are a pleasure to work with, always responsive and helpful with any issues that came up. Highly recommend her professional services.
