  "Cool headed, warm hearted"! That's what. That's what sticks to my mind when it comes to Mike from Arise Reality. We all know how the recent time has been - COVID, Ukraine, economy, politics; and the real estate market did not fair any better by any stretch. I’ve seen it almost for one year (mid 2021 - mid 2022) how crazy the market has been for buyers and my offer records can attest to that. Here is what he said in one day. “BJ, we need to be all the more disciplined to stay in course”. What he meant was not to offer something that is not reasonable and that you may end up regretting. One would imagine a buyer’s agent does not have any incentives for low offers; after all the compensation is based on the percentage of the sale price, especially your offers are coming short time after time. I was getting frustrated and started increasing the price, but Mike is the one who capped it quite firmly. How does he know what’s reasonable and what is emotionally charged? In short, I think, he understands the market, finance, economy, and people as he is coming from a finance background. You will undoubtedly hear a lot of financial stuff from him and sometimes you may wonder if he is a real estate agent or a finance guy. In fact he is both. That’s how he can stay calm and cool headed in turbulent times. In the end my wife and I got a modest, yet best possible property for us after staying in the course, not to mention the loan and closing processes in a clock working manner. We've known him for sometime as he helped us with a number of real estate and loan transactions in the past! One day he said to me and my wife while we’re viewing a house, “BJ, you now, people are hurting, some are real badly”. This was his response/plea to my somewhat harsh comment on the seller how he could have a property in such a shamble. That made my wife and me think for long time. He defends understand people as he feels for everyone, not just you client. Now you see why I think he is cool headed, yet warm hearted, a rare combo?
